  My husband and i have had our taxes done here at Liberty Tax, in Ashland Ma. for the last 3 years. The staff is very friendly, and they do a great job in their accuracy. We have received our refunds with no hassle.Although we had money that we owed to the IRS it was not the fault of Liberty,if you are like me and not computer savey,i would love to be able to do my own taxes, but if i make a mistake it could cost alot of money and alot of aggrevation. So I recommend Liberty Tax to those who are not able to use turbo tax at home. We have been pleased with their service and are going there again this year.

  Tax office is seasonal and they pay franchise fee, work 3 months and pay rent rest of the year. Their charges are not based on how much money you are getting refund, it is not a lawyer office who will share the fee from insurance office, I mean not based on how much money your receive and charge the percentage. I you have compared the price with H & R Block you would have known who is charging how much. Liberty Tax does not charge you extra fee " Peace of Mind for $29.99", they know what they are doing. It is not a dealer auto mechanic , where you will be seated for hours and hours, the car is lifted and sits for hours and hours. You will be happy about that because you do not know what is going on behind the walls. But you are unhappy about the charges they charge you. I will advise you to take a tax class and go to work as a tax preparer, you will know what tax office make money and how much they make. As well you do not have to pay a dime after that to do your tax. Let me tell you: if you do not withheld enough money, you will end up paying to federal and state. If you are single: it is government do no pay you any credits. Did you go to college? I do not think you did. Do you have house to get more deduction, may be not? Do you have children to get child tax credit or additional child credit or to qualify for higher tax deduction filing as head of household, i do not think so. Yes, it is same as you bring your car to a mechanic, if it takes you to change a axle shaft , it may be finished in 30 min or 2 hours but the mechanic will charge you looking at his book. it is the same in tax offices. They have forms to fill in and each forms takes time to fill in and charges are added accordingly. You did not got refund and finished fast and charge you a lot? Unhappy and giving a negative review. No tax filing office will give you more refund than you get it by laws.If you want to get more money : withheld more money from you pay check then you will get a fat check. Or be a single father or mother with many children, make less than 43k you will get a fat check from IRS, Still tax preparer can not charge you as you get refund basis. It is illegal and they loos their practice. They are not mechanic but a professional person.
